The CRLAB CNC system utilizes advanced 3D digital modeling to create an exact replica of your scalp, forming the foundation of a fully customized hair system. Unlike pre-made hair systems, every element of a CNC system is personalized: the base, hair color, density, and even the angle of each strand is tailored to our individual features.
The process begins with a comprehensive assessment. We evaluate your scalp health, hair composition, face shape, skin tone, and even pH levels. Precise measurements are taken to create a detailed 3D model that captures every contour of your head.
This digital blueprint is then sent to CRLAB’s production headquarters in Bologna, Italy, where your base is 3D-printed using a hypoallergenic, biomedical-grade polymer. The material is lightweight, temperature-adaptive, and dermatologist-tested for maximum comfort and safety.
The result is a perfectly color-matched “second scalp” that is comfortable, seamless, and virtually undetectable.

Your scalp replica is 3D-printed at CRLAB's facility using hypoallergenic polymer. The micro-thin base is color-matched to your scalp and optimized for comfort and security.
Styling, Education & Ongoing Care
Your completed system arrives at UHC, where it's custom-cut and styled to your preference. You can recreate your natural look or try something entirely new. The 3D-printed base fits your scalp with extraordinary precision because it's custom-molded to your exact contours. Combined with the secure anchoring of each hair strand, the system is extremely stable. Monthly maintenance appointments re-secure everything to keep it in perfect condition. Most clients find the system so secure they forget they're wearing it.
Can I customize the look after it's made?
Yes. Once your system arrives, we can cut, color, and style it to your specifications. You can recreate your natural look or try something completely different—the human hair can be styled, highlighted, and colored just like your own hair.
What materials are used in the base?
The base is made from a hypoallergenic polymer that has been dermatologist-tested and specifically developed for hair systems. This biomedical-grade material is breathable, adapts to body temperature, and is designed for long-term comfort and wearability. It is a patented material manufactured exclusively for CRLAB.
What kind of maintenance is required?
Monthly maintenance visits (typically about 90 minutes) are scheduled for re-securing and professional cleaning. In between appointments, you can care for your hair as you normally would—wash, style, and wear it however you like. There are no special shampoos required and no restrictions on everyday activities.
