As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds, there is plenty of uncertainty, discomfort, and stress to go around. Here at Unique Hair Concepts (UHC), it’s important to us that our clients feel safe and comfortable in every way.
Of course, this isn’t anything new. We’ve always stood for creating a safe, welcoming environment in which our clients can come talk to us about their hair loss needs, knowing that everything will be confidential and that we’ll take good care of them.
We have known since the day we opened our doors that coping with hair loss can be a profoundly stressful process; one of the most important things we can do for our clients is to help alleviate that stress. This has become even more important to us as our clients return to UHC faced not only with the stress of hair loss, but also the anxiety of life in a pandemic.
How We’re Helping Our Clients Feel Safe and Protected
In order to keep our customers feeling safe and comfortable, we have refined and expanded our efforts to provide concierge-like services for each and every client.
The first thing you should know about visiting UHC in the midst of a pandemic is that we’re as committed as ever to confidential, one-on-one interactions. When you visit with us for a consultation or a treatment, you won’t encounter a crowd of people as we have limited the amount of clients we are seeing per day. Instead, it will just be you and your stylist. All of our appointments are strictly one-on-one, and we’re staggering appointments to ensure there’s no overlap between clients. We also encourage our clients to call us from the parking lot, allowing us to inform them when we’re ready for them to enter.
As you enter the center, you can rest assured that we’re taking every precaution to ensure health and safety. We are conducting temperature checks with a contactless thermometer and safety screenings at the door. This is the standard we’re upholding not only for our clients, but also for our employees. We are not permitting anyone with COVID-like symptoms into the center.
Inside the center, we offer a range of health and wellness conveniences. There is a handwashing station when you first enter UHC, and we have hand sanitizer stations in every room. Additionally, we use disposable, single-use robes, capes, towels, and applicators. All treatment rooms and offices are sanitized and disinfected before and after each appointment. We are also requiring masks covering your nose and mouth to be worn in the building at all times. This applies to employees and clients alike, in full compliance with local ordinances.
Finally, we’ll simply affirm our commitment to all the public health protocols that are in place here in the Tri-State area. We are focused on keeping our local clients safe, comfortable and making it easy to schedule an appointment to come into the center.

During these difficult times, it’s more important than ever that we all pay attention to self-care; this includes not only physical wellbeing, but emotional health, as well. For many of our clients, hair replacement and hair maintenance are integral ways to maintain some consistency, and to support personal wellness and peace of mind.
We are grateful for the opportunity to offer our clients the chance to gain their confidence back through self-care and remain committed to safety and privacy in everything we do.
